METALLIC BASE COATS

A range of Luxor Basecoat metallic paints with great colour capability for any metallic paint vehicles. The new high performance Auto Gold Toners work together in providing an easy to use and mixing system that works with Advanced Technology Colour documentation.

Luxor have also introduced extra mica pearl toners and special effect toners as well as a full line up of special aluminium toners to boost colour accuracy in collision repair centres. Approximately 50,000 retrievable computer formulas are currently available in Auto Gold Formulas.

CLEAR COAT

We supply a range of Automotive clear coat paints dependant on the users requirements. Clear coat is applied over the Metallic base coat or as additional protection on 2K solid colours.

2K

Transline 2K auto paint is a specially formulated two pack coating ideally suited for the automotive refinish trade, giving exceptional gloss, durability & original equipment appearance. An economic option for fleet & transport vehicles. Transline auto paint is based on a top quality highly functional acrylic resin system & cured with a hardener component based on isocyanate. Available in a comprehensive range of colours and tinted to suite your sample.

NC

Luxline NC is formulated as a top quality, fast drying, economical single pack automotive refinish coating. It’s a specialised alkyd/nitrocellulose combination with additional built in hardening & mark resistant qualities. It’s a gloss topcoat for spray application where one pack system is required, along with economical factors. Mainly used in bumper recoating or as a superior industrial coating where longer durability is required.

BODYFILLERS

A flexible bodyfiller which is optimally formulated product used for repair work to damaged vehicle body work. It’s based on a pre-accelerated polyester resin to achieve rapid curing, & filled with inert extenders to give optimum application & filling properties. The extenders utilised are incorporated to give optimum packing throughout the filled area ensuring good adhesion on application of top coat systems. This system utilises a liquid peroxide catalyst. It’s rapid curing easy application characteristics for all types of auto body repair work.

NC PRIMERS

Luxprime auto primer is a specially formulated nitrocellulose based primer suitable for use as metal primers & automotive refinish paints. An alkyd/nitrocellulose binder, with additional adhesion promoting agents built into the product. Rapid curing, good adhesion, economical primer for mainly automotive refinish use but the white version is also suitable for use on wood.

SELF ETCH PRIMERS

Self etch primers is a single pack self etch primer for use on steel as an adhesion promoting primer with anti corrosive properties. It’s a phenolic re-inforced polyvinyl butyral resin system with anti corrosive pigmentation & acid etching properties to steel. Used as a rapid drying, sprayable primer with excellent adhesion promoting properties.

MS PRIMER

A multipack primer used on sanded or repaired surfaces where good filling properties are required. It is used as a multi surface primer and available in Grey or Beige dependant on the colour of the top coat to be used.

PLASTIC PRIMER ADHESION PROMOTOR

Autolux Adhesion promoter is a single pack clean coating ready for use from the tin. Based on specially formulated adhesion promoting resins with hydrocatbon solvents. Ideal for adhesion promoting on surfaces like certain plastics, galvanised aluminium steel and tin plate.

FAST CURE ADDITIVE

Autolux Fast Cure additive is formulated to enhance curing in 2k refinish products, particularly for a small rapid touch up process. Specifically designed accelerator system used in small addition to twin pack acrylic, urethane systems to speed up cure rate & drying
