QD (QUICK DRY) ENAMEL
Luxcoat QD enamels are high gloss, durable, quick drying enamels designed to be extremely cost effective. It’s based on a high quality synthetic, fast drying alkyd system. Available as a single pack enamel suitable for the spray painting of trucks, trailers & farm implements & general industrial use. We stock a wide range of 42 standard colours but can mix any colour on RAL or SABS standards or even on a sample provided.
NC (NITROCELLULOSE) ENAMEL
Luxline NC is formulated as a top quality, fast drying, economical single pack industrial refinish coating. It’s a specialised alkyd/nitrocellulose combination with additional built in hardening & mark resistant qualities. It’s a gloss topcoat for spray application where one pack system is required, along with economical factors. Mainly used as a superior industrial coating where longer durability than QD is required.
QD HAMMERTONE ENAMELS
A quick drying speciality finish for use on clean, dry metal surfaces where the effect of hammered metal
is desired. Due to the varied nature of the film thickness, a primer is not recommended as this may be
visible in the troughs or ‘eyes’. However, for protection of the metal against corrosion, a clear sealer may
be applied and allowed to dry fully before application of the hammertone finishing coat, or over the
hammertone once this is fully cured. Available in Grey, Blue and Green.
QD REDOXIDE PRIMER
A quick drying zinc phosphate general purpose primer for use on bare, mild steel or galvanized iron for
protection against corrosion, before finishing coats are applied. It should be over-coated within six months
of application with alkyd enamel or acrylic emulsion paints.
Available in red oxide and grey. Pack sizes are 1L, 5L, 25L and 200L.
QD REDOXIDE DIPPING PRIMER
A quick drying zinc phosphate general purpose primer for use on bare, mild steel or galvanized iron for protection against corrosion, before finishing coats are applied. Dipping primer ideally used for odd shaped items coated in high volume where it is difficult to use spray or brush application.
Available in red oxide. Pack sizes are 25L and 200L.
ONE PACK ETCH PRIMER
A self-etching single-pack etch primer for use on bare mild steel or galvanized iron for temporary
corrosion protection before finishing coats are applied, which should be within six months of the
application of the primer. Over coating should only be applied once etch primer is hard dry after 3 hours. Available in red oxide, grey and black. Pack sizes are 1L, 5L, 25L
WATERBASED ETCH PRIMER
A high quality self-etching anti-corrosive water-based primer for use on bare metal that has been
cleaned of dust and grease and/or sandblasted.
The product is ready for use as supplied and requires no thinning.
The primer may be over-coated after a minimum drying time of 24 hours with any conventional industrial or decorative coating.
HIGH BUILD ZINC PHOSPHATE PRIMER
A high volume solids product ideally suited for use on zinc roofs or any steel where excellent anti corrosive ability is required. Colours available Green, Yellow or Red oxide.
SPECIFICATION PRODUCTS
We have a huge range of highly specified paint products available on request. Products include fire, heat and chemical resistant paints. Other products include a range of marine coatings and self levelling floor epoxies.
STOEP PAINT
A top quality alkyd floor coating for use on clean, grease and dust free concrete or stone floors. No
primer is necessary on new surfaces but a bonding liquid may be applied. A thinned coating can be applied on porous surfaces to ensure floor is sealed and coating adheres to surface. For polished cement floor an acid wash is recommended.
PU FLOOR ENAMEL
A quality polyurethane paint for use on wood, steel or concrete floors where a more durable finish is required than enamels. For polished cement floor an acid wash is recommended. Product uses a catalyst.
ROAD MARKING ENAMEL
A quick drying paint for concrete & tar surfaces for the marking of roads, floors and kerbs.
